Spring 2014 update

Technically its spring but it sure doesn’t feel like it some days. We have had snow up on the mountain and even down into National Park since the end of the season this year! There are quite a few exciting changes going on around the place and I have tried to capture them here for those folks that aren’t around here full time.

1. Piopiotea Stream Project has launched and is aiming to improve water quality and access to the stream over the next 5 years or so. They can be found at: www.facebook.com/PiopioteaStream . Have a look, they are taking a cool approach to this project and getting locals involved in the testing etc.

2. Roy Turner Memorial National Park Community Playground – quite a mouthful but this playground is going to be awesome and will be used by families visiting and living in the area. This project will need input from anyone that’s keen to help. Check out their details at: www.facebook.com/pages/Roy-Turner-Memorial-Playground-National-Park/1520085111543904
